By the time we got in a ride, cleaned up and drove to Santa Barbara, it was time for lunch. One of our favorite spots is the Summerland Beach Cafe and despite being Mother’s Day, we got a table for two in about 15 minutes – tables for two weren’t in high demand. We opted for old faithful, a grilled “maheee” sandwich that’s absolutely killer along with a side salad. In honor of Mother’s Day, I got a half order of one of my mom’s favorite foods – onion rings! Yep, I love my mom THAT much that I was willing to do that.
After sitting for a few minutes, a couple sat next to us with a monster of a dog. As much as he was cute and friendly, they didn’t do the best job of keeping him out of everyone’s way. He was fun to watch nevertheless.
