I’ve never really tried the macro setting on my Olympus point-&-shoot and tonight I was pleasantly surprised when I held the thing about an inch from my eye, and it focused just fine. Of course the content just rocks – what could he more beautiful than a tight shot of my eyeball!
I’m not thrilled with the camera’s video capabilities, which is why it has sat dormant for a while, but when it comes time to throw a camera in a sweat-drenched bike-jersey pocket, the water-proof feature comes in quite handy. Plus, I find myself shooting less and less video anyway – who has time for video editing?
