We spent the bulk of today at the Sea Otter Classic but I shot tons of video while we were there and I don’t plan on doing any video editing tonight, so for now, just photos from today.
The weather was absolutely perfect and we managed to spend an entire day outdoors without getting any sunburn. After spending the morning and afternoon at the races, we headed to the coast for the last few hours of daylight.
I think we both like Monterey so much, that we wouldn’t want to live here. I think we’ll just reserve it as getaway destination for years to come.
There are a few small ‘islands’ right off the shore in Monterey and I almost ventured out onto one of them when I realized the tide was coming in – and once that tide is in, there’s no getting back to shore without getting wet.
For day 3 we don’t plan to go to the races at all. Instead we’re just going to spend the day along the coast and probably head down to Carmel for a bit.
