After spending all day Sunday and Monday with Buddy, Donna had a tough time leaving him at home while we went to work on Tuesday – it was probably one of the longest work days she’s had in a while, worrying all day and wondering if Buddy was ok.
So Tuesday night I stopped by Radio Shack to pick up a few items I thought might make the work day a little less stressful for Donna (Buddy, I think, is fine.) First, a web cam and second, a phone with a speaker-phone answering-machine. Long story short, Donna can now watch Buddy all day long, from her iPhone or iPad, and even call him! The phone’s ringer is set to silent so all Buddy hears is Donna talking to him. The first time around, he tilted his head a little as if confused.
Most of all, I was just happy that I could make Donna’s life a little easier via technology.
