Investing in education

I suspect the $15 we put into Buddy’s education will ultimately increase his life expectancy – assuming that a better behaved dog will not be killed by his owner.

Donna has been diligent about taking him to class but he’s already won the vote for both “least likely to succeed” and “class clown.” My theory is that he’s simply a slow leaner.

I really can’t complain about him much at all. He’s really a sweet, loving dog. His only downfall is that he doesn’t know how to walk on a leash and despite our best efforts, it’s still a problem.

Of course with the days getting shorter and shorter, it’s pretty dark by time we’re done with class. Donna and Buddy usually go alone but this week I decided to drop in a take an interest in his education. Turns out, doing so is a mistake because he gets super excited to see me and has a really hard time focusing on his work.
