My wife is 5’10” and is never happy when she steps on the scale. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence I guess – most petite women I know wish they were tall and most tall women I know wish they were petite.
Needless to say I’m not exactly a small person, so whenever I pull one of Donna’s shirts out of the dryer, wrap my arms around her to hug her, or slide her wedding band onto my little finger, I’m reminded of how little she is and how, despite how tough she is, gentle I need to be with her.
She may not think of herself as ‘little’ but she’s little to me.
