SATURDAY AT THE GARDENS

It was looking like it was going to just be a quiet day around the house. While I was vacuuming the house, Donna curled back up on the bed with Buddy. She had done some morning chores and that appeared to wear her out. But by afternoon Donna was ready to get out for some fresh air, so we headed to Gardens of the World for a 30-minute stroll. After that, a late lunch at BJ’s where she enjoyed some of the house’s finest root beer.
We miss our long, all-day outings but any time Donna is in the mood to get out of the house, I’m thankful – in part, yes, just because I enjoy getting out but mostly I just enjoy seeing her with the energy to do something. Between the gardens and lunch, we were probably only gone for two hours, but it was such a wonderful two hours. By time we got home she was ready to crash – in some comfy clothes on the over-stuffed sofa.
