There are a million and one things to do in Los Angeles and Ventura County. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many things you can do when you’re working your way through chemotherapy as Donna is. Saturday afternoon we were stumped as to what to do. Donna’s spirit is amazing but there are only so many things she can control and her energy level isn’t one of them.
We hopped in the car and simply decided to head North. Half way to Ventura we remembered the seal rookery in Carpinteria and decided to head there.
It’s a relatively short walk to the overlook and the beach was as full of seals as I’ve ever seen it. It was a great family outing and it got Donna out of the house for a couple hours without exhausting her.
