We had a pretty low-key Christmas this year and it was a joy to have Donna feeling so much better than she did last Christmas. The day started out with a little work (from bed) then a long family walk – hoping to exhaust Buddy so he’d be quiet for the rest of the day. Then it was time for catching up with family on the phone, cinnamon rolls for breakfast then opening a few gifts that Santa left under the tree.
On the menu for the day was seafood lasagna – a rather rich dish, loaded with cream, pasta, cheese, shrimp and scallops. To round things out, we had a salad along with it.
It’s a good thing we have Buddy because otherwise we might have never made it our of the house – the only two outings of the day were the morning walk and an evening trip to the park for playing fetch with Buddy’s new Chuck-it.

It was a leash-free morning for Buddy. He’s been doing a great job of staying close and not once have we had to go chasing him.

This is what happens when you bring dog treats to the park – you become very popular.
