Everybody’s workin’ for the weekend

Saturday morning it was time for our outing with Buddy, as usual. Even without a leash, he did a great job of staying close.
Off-leash
Time for a little smoochin’!
So happy together
Love this reflection in a small puddle of water – which was resting on top of some sort of electrical box.
Morning walk reflection
By time we got home from our walk, it was nothing but blue sky.

Coffee time
We couldn’t help but soak up some sunshine, 70-degree weather and a fruit smoothie for breakfast – especially knowing what others in so many parts of the country are enduring in terms of cold, wet weather.

After getting some chores done around the house, it was time to fill out our passport applications for our trip to Alaska (via Canada)! Both Donna and I had to refer to our marriage license to determine for sure what year we got married.

And by then of course it was time for some belly rubbin’.
Rub my belly, please
Even running errands was enjoyable, given the beautiful weather. I waited in the car while Donna ran in, at a few of the stops, giving me extra time to enjoy the sunshine.
Soaking up the sun
Early in the afternoon, Buddy threw us a curve. He buggered up one of his legs while chasing a squirrel in the back yard. At first he just walked with a limp, but before long he was walking around just using three legs. This of course meant taking another ($380) trip to the vet. An x-ray revealed there were no broken bones and that it was a soft-tissue injury. I was disappointed in my boy to say the least, to learn that he couldn’t shake off something as trivial as a soft-tissue injury.

I love the fish tank at the vet’s office.
