We went exploring this Sunday. It was a trail and area we had never been to before and while there was a little frustration amidst a great morning as a family, we considered it an ‘adventure.’
We hit about four dead-ends – areas where the trails jusst fizzled out into nothingness.
The views of the reservoir were amazing. It’s a shame that as a reservoir, public access is prohibited, but we got to enjoy it from a distance. Bodies of fresh water aren’t something you see very often here in Southern California, and it was just what Donna was in the mood for.
Donna’s vertigo got the best of her on a few occasions. There were a number of steep, off-camber sections that even had my knees knocking.
Thanks to some other folks exploring the same area, we were able to get a photo of the two of us together. Buddy wasn’t real cooperative, but I treasure photos of Donna and I together, as they’re quite rare.
I got a little carried away with the panoramic feature on my iPhone – the scenery was too much to resist.
