It’s been a scorcher of a three-day, 4th of July weekend, but we’ve found two areas that are usually a little bit cooler — Mountain Lake and Rocky Knob. So we headed to Rocky Knob for a morning hike. As it turned out, it wasn’t much, if at all, cooler than it was in Christiansburg.
Regardless, we had an enjoyable hike and we were able to take in some beautiful views just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
