Today’s hike was one we’ll not soon forget. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was perfect.
It was while hiking Rocky Knob off the Blue Ridge Parkway that we learned Biden won the election. Donna did a happy dance and we both let out a huge sigh of relief.
The president-elect released a statement that he was “honored and humbled” — in tremendous contrast to Trump’s somewhat recent tweet that the American people are “lucky to have me as president.”
Biden has promised to represent all Americans, not just those who voted for him. I’m hopeful that he’ll keep that promise and bring us back together as a nation.
