Christmas started out the same as any other day — with Buddy’s morning walk. Snow had fallen overnight, after a very rainy day, which made for a heavy layer of ice underneath the snow.

After the walk it was time to open a few gifts and make a few phone calls.

Santa brought me a new lens, which I was anxious to try out, and Donna was more than happy to model for me without makeup or having done her hair.

By noon we were off to Mom & Dad’s for an afternoon together as a family. Tiff made a killer prime rib, along with green beans, mashed potatoes and cheesecake, all of which was preceded by an incredible spread of hors d’oeuvres.

Donna finally got a coffee mug that’s big enough for her.

And we played a game where everyone got to create their own Picasso.

Jackson spent the day making sure the sofa cushions didn’t float away.
