A GREAT MORNING ON THE TRAILS: PART II

We were only out for 2hrs 15minutes today but it dropped somewhere between 5-10 degrees while we were out, which meant the ride home was considerably cooler – especially when you and you’re clothes are soaking wet from sweat. When Donna breaks out the windbreaker, you know it’s getting chilly out. I had mine on about 30 minutes before she did.

When I try to push my limits I tend to ride slower than when I’m just out for fun, so today I made sure it was just about the fun. I mean after all, I had Donna with me, so how fast could I really go anyway. PS – Do you have a sofa or spare bed I could sleep on the night after Donna reads this post?

This is that same section of buttery-smooth singletrack I posted in PART I. Needless to say, riding down it is much more fun than riding up it.

Bottom line, it was a great morning on the trails. The weather kept us cool on the climbs (though a bit chilly on the descents), the clouds made for some scenic landscapes, the bikes rode well, and the company was the best anyone could ask for. Believe me, anyone who actually thinks I look good in bike shorts and a biking jersey makes for a great riding companion. Needless to say, Donna is my only riding companion.
