ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER TRAIL

Despite a slow start to the day, which started with a longer-than-expected conversation with a mortgage broker, we managed to get out on the trails again. Normally we take the cyclocross bikes on our ride to the beach but Donna wasn’t in the mood the be beaten up by a fully-rigid, skinny-tire bike, so she took her mountain bike

The temperatures have been rising and the winds have been blowing, nevertheless the creek crossings are deeper than ever.

I also realized today that apparently Donna is allergic to water. Watching her tip-toe across the rocks made me wonder what would happen if she slipped and got wet – maybe a foot would melt off?

The route to the beach is void of any steep, grueling climbs, but it still kicks my butt every time.
