MIXED EMOTIONS

We had a lot of fun looking at houses today. We spent a few hours with the realtor going to about five different houses, then Donna and I went out to lunch, drove to see a few more homes on our own, got home, decided we wanted to take another look at the one townhouse, drove home, learned of a new listing and drove by to see it… All in all it was just exhausting by the end of the day.

The first place was too expensive for what it was. The second was our favorite – a townhouse just around the corner from where we used to live in Camarillo. Then we went to a home that we absolutely want to love, but it’s just too small – bummer! Then we went to a swanky but secluded townhouse that we’re still kind of considering, but not really.

Bottom line, EVERYTHING in our price range is going to have some sort of drawback. Either the location isn’t ideal, it’s too small, too worn or something. Some things you can change, but you can’t change or improve the location of a home, so if we really hate the location, we’re ruling it out.

Around 3pm we thought we were ready to make an offer on the townhouse. Then we went and looked at it again. We started to have second thoughts at first but again, by time we were leaving the townhouse, we were again wanting to make an offer. We decided to sleep on it.

  1. Wow! It looks like you have a few nice choices! But we need clarification on one thing in this video: at one point you mention if people would come stay for “extended periods”, did you mean a couple nights or several months;-)
Thanks for making us part of your house search! We are really enjoying the videos and keep checking for updates!
