A NEW TRADITION

Friday night has always been our chill night. It’s our Thursday, we’re almost the whole way through the work week, so we don’t do any evening exercise and we usually get take-out for dinner and watch a movie at home.

Buddy, however, doesn’t care for this tradition and seems to enjoy exercise seven days a week. So that Donna and I can take a break, but still exercise Buddy, we’ve resorted to taking him to the local dog park every Friday night, then picking up dinner on the way home.

The first time we went to the park we noticed there was a $5 admission charge at an un-manned gate. Fortunately, we learned the $5 access charge does not apply to users of the dog park – only users of the rest of the park, which is pretty big. The park sits off the beaten path in a scenic corner of Camarillo. There isn’t any grass but buddy has yet to complain.

After the dog park we picked up some burritos and watched a movie – well, I watched a movie and Donna spent the evening spoiling Buddy with love and affection.

  1. Buddy is an extremely lucky dog! He found the best forever home he could’ve asked for!
