I just learned that the new iOS allows you to lock the exposure and focus while shooting video on the iPhone (4 or 4S). However, the iPhone 4S adds video stabilization. I mounted an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4S to the same bracket, so I could do a quick test comparing the two.
I locked the focus and the exposure on the same point, at the same time – it’s a pretty cloudy, gloomy day, which really puts the exposure and white balance to the test.
I also made sure to walk rather ‘roughly’ so I could be sure I wasn’t doing anything special at all to smooth out the video. Here are the results:
