A rainy Sunday morning

Our weekend is of to a rainy start, which has actually been nice. It was a great excuse to sleep in but then it occurred to me, Buddy still needs to go for a walk. Fortunately, he doesn’t like the rain either so he took care of business pretty quickly as we just walked around the neighborhood.

The morning walk to Starbucks was even scenic, looking at the reflections in the big puddles in the parking lot. A more scenic background would have been nice, but what can you expect in such an urban area.

Buddy kind of prances on wet days, as if his feet will stay dryer if he just kind’a tip toes around.

It actually feels like fall, thanks to the wet weather. The temperatures have dropped considerably as well – I think we only got into the upper 60’s yesterday and today’s high is in the low 60’s.

I love watching the clouds roll in over the nearby mountains. They have their own weather for sure, but I wish they weren’t quite so distant.

First, I took Buddy for his walk, then I dropped him off at home and walked across the street for coffee. When I got back from Starbucks, this is what I found – Donna & Buddy curled up on the sofa while Donna warmed up his paws. He’s such a dainty momma’s boy!
