Right about the time we thought the day was going to be a wash, the blue skies started to come out and the sun began to shine. So by mid-morning we were heading out with the little man, who as you can see, got to say hello to a few of his neighborhood friends.
Not far into our normal route, we noticed a good bit of fall color on a side street. For a few minutes, we almost forgot we were in southern California.
Buddy hasn’t been to the dog park for quite some time, for one reason or another. We’ve been walking him through the small shopping center across the street, just to make sure he’s used to being around people and unfamiliar situations. The first time he walked by an automatic door, he almost jumped out of his skin. Now, he tries to go into almost every store that opens the door for him.
Donna loves it when I snap her picture while she’s gasping for air. I was getting bored, maintaining such a slow pace, which is why I broke out the camera.
Believe that one and I’ll tell you another one.
It really does seem a lot like Fall around here. In all the years we’ve been here, I don’t ever recall seeing this dramatic change in the weather. Of course ‘dramatic’ is all relative – overnight lows are in the upper 40’s and the highs each day hit at least 65, if not 75.
Watching the morning ‘storm’ blow out was great. It’s nice to see something other than just solid blue sky.
