After our walk/jog/run Sunday morning, we decided to check out a few websites for window-treatment ideas. Buddy, as always, was willing to offer up a few ideas of his own, which he whispered to Donna, so I wouldn’t hear. As you can tell by her facial expression, Donna wasn’t too fond of any of his ideas.
It’s been a while since we went to Panera Bread for lunch. We generally avoid the one in Camarillo because it’s in the outlet mall and usually mobbed. It wasn’t bad at all today though – we walked in and right up to the cashier with no wait at all. On such a ‘cold’ and damp day, a bowl of hot soup and a sandwich just sounded really good.
After getting a bite for lunch, we were off to Home Depot to look at window treatment options and prices. We’ve been considering wood shutters throughout the entire home. One thing we started to consider though is the lack of color options. We painted the entire home in rather neutral colors, figuring we’d add more color with the window treatments – which started to make wood shutters less appealing.
After Home Depot we had to stop at the Petco for some mutt food… I mean dog food. Along the way to the food aisle, we ran across this little guy. I can’t even imagine what Buddy would have done if we had brought him home. Something tells me though that he wouldn’t quite be able to jump from one rug to another, the way Buddy does.
We eventually ended up at Bed Bath & Beyond, where we found some curtains that we love – orange for the dining area, brown for the glass sliding doors, white for the kitchen, and some funkier window treatments for the living room.
By time we were heading home for the evening, a few rain showers were blowing through again.
