I can be pretty bad about ‘planning out’ my weekend days, but I guess when I head back to work on Monday morning, I just like knowing that we got to do everything we wanted to. By 7(ish)am Saturday we were out of bed and after a run to Starbuck’s, house cleaning was underway.

I talked Donna into doing grocery shopping instead of cleaning, so I stayed home and cleaned while she went to the grocery store and chiropractor. Right about the time I was wrapping up cleaning, I got an email that required me to head into the office. Buddy was less than thrilled about staying home by himself on a Saturday.

The plan for today was to clean house, go for a hike and then catch an early-evening movie. As I was backing out of the driveway to head to work, I knew we weren’t going to have time for all three.

What I though was going to be 30 minutes in the office turned into almost two hours in the office.

By time I was heading home it was lunchtime. I brought some sandwiches home then we decided to take a short break – with some Jello that Buddy REALLY wanted to try.

Since we didn’t have time for a hike, I decided I’d at least like to get out for a run. I also know I don’t run very well with food in my stomach, so while we were waiting for lunch to settle, Donna made sure none of the sofa cushions floated away. She’s really good at it.
