About three weeks after Donna’s surgery she had a (one of many) follow-up appointments with one of the surgeons. A friend of ours was with her and it’s a good thing – not long after arriving at the surgeon’s office, Donna started shivering uncontrollably and throwing up. Not long after that I was pulling into the hospital right behind her and Marty and getting Donna admitted. They determined she had a bad infection and got her into the operating room later in the afternoon. As of now (Friday afternoon) we’re not sure when Donna is going to get out of here. One doctor said maybe Monday. Another doctor is thinking possibly tomorrow (Saturday). Long story short, who knows! All that matters is that Donna is getting better and we’re together.
