Donna is a real trooper, there’s no doubt about it. Her smiles in the midst of chemo, her anticipation of things she’ll be doing a year from now and her attitude towards cancer are all extremely inspiring.
Regardless, rough patches are inevitable and she’s in the middle of one right now, with severe aches, pains and nausea. The nausea subsided late this morning but the aches and pain are taking a toll on her spirits. I made it home for lunch and was able to heat up some soup for her. Other than that, she doesn’t have the strength or energy to do anything.
