Donna is traveling for business purposes this week. Here’s what I’ve learned in her absence:

1. The dishwasher does not empty itself
2. The wheels on the trash can are not self propelled
3. Buddy expects dinner EVERY night
4. Aluminum cans and glass bottles DO fit in the trash can (as opposed to the recycling bin.)
5. There ARE cable channels other than HGTV
6. The dinner plate is empty, unless I put something on it
7. HGTV is one of the better channels cable has to offer
8. Queen size beds are made for two
9. 4:15 a.m. comes even earlier than 5:00 a.m.
10. Oranges are a pain in the &$! to peel
11. The Vitamix is really cool
12. Buddy expects breakfast EVERY day
13. Buddy CAN drink tap water
14. “No, you hang up…” isn’t just a teenager ‘thing.’
15. 24 hours is a loooong time. Four days can’t even be fathomed. 
16. Driving to the local taco shack is much more appealing than cleaning a dirty pan. 
17. Buddy likes Donna more than he likes me – why should he be different from everyone else?
