Donna treated me to a few wonderful days in Pismo Beach for my birthday. The third-floor waterfront room was absolutely perfect, and the sound of crashing waves poured into our suite.
We got the best of both worlds — clear, sunny skies after mornings of a dense marine layer.
We took a one-mile stroll down the beach, to downtown Pismo Beach, for the obligatory bowl of chowder at Splash Cafe.
All I asked the Birthday Ferry for this year was a kite. I got it, but I forgot to ask Mother Nature for some wind.
And of course I can never resist exploring the caves along the coast.
The sunset view from our room…

Some phenomenal photos! I do have to ask, if you can run really fast, do you really need wind for your kite?😉 Although it’s amazing, just a couple days before you had the Santa Anna winds and then ….. nothing. What a difference! The kite looks like it’s something fun and relaxing for you to do out there. Glad you had a great time!
