Our week of vacation started out much the same as any other week of vacation — with treats for Buddy, our usual morning walk, and eventually a trip to the doggie hotel.
Though many states were beginning to lift their COVID-19 restrictions, we weren’t taking any chances when it came time to stop for lunch. We wore masks, as did employees, as we made our way through Chick-fil-A’s drive-thru, then sanitized our hands while eating in the car.
About 7 hours after hitting the road, we were at the house in Charleston, SC. We quickly discovered that given the nearby marsh, the mosquito population was thriving.
The house was just gorgeous, with beautiful furnishings and lovely climate control!
We concluded the day with dinner and a movie — takeout from a nearby Mexican restaurant and the original “Bad Boys.”
