PEAKS OF OTTER

After a week of hiking and biking, we were feeling a little tapped out before we even began Friday’s hike to the top of Flat Top at Peaks of Otter. Despite being a weekday, the Sharp Top trailhead was fairly crowded and since we we’ve been trying to avoid people, Flat Top seemed to be the best option.

We had a great hike but I don’t know that we’ll do this particular hike again. There’s not much to look at on the way up and once you reach the top, the view is somewhat mediocre – you can see for miles, there’s just not much to see but flat, rural farmland.
