I format my blog based primarily on how it will appear on an iPad. The background width, the colors, the size of the photos… every time I change something, I make sure it looks good on an iPad.
One thing I unfortunately always overlooked was font size. I think I always like small font so it doesn’t compete for attention with the photos, which really are the focal point of this blog. Regardless, it’s nice to actually be able to read the text.
So finally, after all these blog posts, I’m finally addressing font size. I’m not as crazy about the look, and I’ll probably still play around with the settings, but it’s a heck of a lot easier to read on the iPad and iPhone – something I think my aging readers will appreciate. Of course now that I’ve referred to them as “aging,” they probably won’t be ‘my readers’ any more.
