We’ve had a fantastic Sunday. Temperatures are in the low 70’s. There’s not a cloud in the sky.
As does every day, it began with getting Buddy out for a walk.
Despite the abundance of sniffing time, he had to lay on the guilt trip when it came time for Donna and I to head out.
Our cycling legs have been on an extended vacation, so we headed to the Ventura/Ojai bike path. A 22-mile spin was just what the doctor ordered.
The views along the way were spectacular as always.
One of the best things about this ride is that it starts and ends at the ocean.
We were planning to have lunch on the pier, but restaurant construction kept us from sitting outside, close to our unlocked bikes. Determined to get our fish tacos, we tried a place we’ve never been to — Spencer Makenzie’s. After some clam chowder, a shrimp tempura taco, and half of a fish & shrimp burrito, I was satisfied.
Wait, who am I kidding. I wasn’t ‘satisfied.’ I felt like a bloated tick!
